Getting Started

Oakita ® are renowned for providing quality Oak furniture and have selected the very best products from our comprehensive stock for you to view here on our website. We are confident that you will find using our website both simple and convenient, whilst assuring that your personal detaiis are secured with the latest technology available.

These five basic features will help make your shopping experience even easier.

  • Home page link: You can get back to our home page at any time by clicking on either the Oakita ® logo which appears at the top left-hand side of the screen or simply by clicking the HOME button on the menu bar.
  • Search box: The search box is designed to help you find what you want quickly and efficiently and is located on the top right-hand side of the screen. You can search by product name, key words - or our unique product model number.
  • Navigation bar: The names on the navigation bar near the top of the screen directly under our logo are the categories of our online store. Hovering over one of these names then provides you with a drop-down menu with further sub-categories. Clicking on one of these category names will take you to a new page that contains all products included within it.
  • Sideboxes: There are a number of sideboxes on the left hand side of the screen which contain further information about the services we provide along with a category list for your convenience. Some of these sideboxes are 'page specific' which means that they will only appear on certain pages for purpose of relevancy.
  • Your basket and checkout: When you add a product to your shopping basket, you will notice that links to both your shopping basket and our checkout appear in the header of your page. By clicking on your shopping basket link you will be able to see what you have added and make any alterations should you desire. Once you are happy with your shopping list you can go through to our checkout by clicking either the checkout link in the header of the page, or by clicking the checkout button located at the bottom of your shopping basket.

Our Search engine works by checking your search term against all the product titles, product descriptions and model numbers currently on the website. It then shows products on the page that may match your query.

You can search in broad terms such as furniture, or be more precise by using the terms 'Oak chairs' or 'large Oak table'. A generic term such as 'Oak' may return far too many results - you will get most precise results by searching for a specific description or stock code..

Payment options

We offer various ways for you to pay for your order, including all major credit/debit cards which you will see listed below, Paypal and discount vouchers. You may also pay by direct bank transfer if you have an online account, but we would ask you to contact us in advance to make arrangements in the first instance. Discount vouchers can be used to pay for part or whole of your order.

Placing your order

Once you've found the items that you wish to purchase and have added them to your basket, you will be directed to your basket. In your basket you have various options available to you. You can 'continue shopping' by clicking the back to shopping button (your items will be saved for you until you return), you can get a delivery quote by clicking the estimate shipping button, or if you are ready you can begin the checkout process.

  • Once you opt to 'Checkout' you will need to supply a few details so that we may process your order. You will be presented with the option of signing into your existing account if you have one - or creating a new account if you are new to Oakita ®.
  • If you already have an account - simply supply your email address and password in order to sign in. In the event you have forgotten your password, click on the Forgotten your Password? link and we will email you a new password.
  • Creating a new account is easy and should take no more that a minute - we ask for the minimum of information and even have a 'post code finder' to help you fill your details out quickly. If you do not have an account, click the Sign up button and you will be taken to our very simple registration form.
  • Once you have either signed in or signed up, all you have to do is tell us where you want your goods shipped to and how you want to pay - simple!
  • Upon completion, you will be shown a confirmation of order screen and be asked to logout of your account so other people using your computer cannot get access to your account. You will be sent an automatic 'confirmation of order' email which will contain a link to your account where you can amend your details, view your order status and obtain all of your your order information. We do not store credit card information.
